ABOUT US
DAVID CHATMAN
Founder
David Chatman is a Creative Strategist from East Palo Alto and the founder of the creative studio Chatman Did It. He brings emotive design to every project, combining a deep understanding of visual storytelling with a strong pulse on contemporary creative culture. His work is shaped by mentorship from industry leaders including Jason Mayden formerly of Jordan Brand, Olatunde Sobomehin, CEO of StreetCode Academy, and creative strategist “Squint” Sandifer.
His portfolio spans large nonprofits such as Oak Hella, StreetCode Academy, and the Kaiser Convention Center, individual artists like Jon Batiste, as well as music and cultural institutions such as Oakland’s The Reef Studios, Grand National, and Black Joy Parade. For over five years, he has led and operated his own flagship studio. Known simply as “Chatman,” he approaches each project with intention and integrity, working closely with clients to bring their stories to life with clarity, beauty, and purpose.
